How do I prove VA eligibility?

Can I use my VA benefit more than once?

Yes — VA entitlement can be restored after you sell your home and pay off the VA loan. You can also have multiple VA loans simultaneously in certain situations with remaining entitlement.

Is there a maximum VA loan amount?

For borrowers with full entitlement, there is no VA loan limit. Lenders set their own maximums — typically up to the high-balance conforming limits and beyond for jumbo VA loans.

Does VA require a home inspection?

VA requires a VA appraisal (which includes minimum property requirements) but does not require a separate home inspection. We strongly recommend getting an independent inspection for your protection.

Can I buy a multi-unit property with a VA loan?

Yes — VA allows purchase of 2, 3, and 4-unit properties as long as you occupy one unit. The rental income from other units can help qualify for the loan.

Are VA loans available in the Bay Area with high prices?

Yes — VA loans have no loan limit for borrowers with full entitlement. You can purchase a $1.5M home in Fremont or the Bay Area with zero down payment if you qualify.
